Laptop and external monitors go black when laptop lid is closed
ISSUE: When connecting additional monitors to a docking station with laptop docked, you may notice that one or more of the screens go dark when the laptop lid is closed.
SOLUTION: Change the setting under Power Options.
Open Settings
Choose System
Select Power and Sleep
Scroll to Additional Power Settings and Click
Tap Change plan settings
Next to When I close lid select the dropdown arrows under On Battery and Plugged in and choose: Do Nothing
