Open Google Chrome          
Go to:   https://aka.ms/mfasetup

Use your Piedmont Technical College Email address.

* Employee example:      smith.j@ptc.edu
* Student Example: P00000000@live.ptc.edu
This will take you to the PTC Sign-in Page.

Use your network credentials to sign-in. This will be the same username and password you use to log into Pathway.

*  Employee example:  smith_j and PTC password
*  Student Example:   P00000000     and PTC password
 A page opens showing Microsoft and your email address.

Click NEXT
Additional Security Verification Page Opens

1. Be sure Authentication Phone is selected for the first drop-down arrow.

2. On the second drop-down arrow, select United States.

3. Enter your mobile number in the text box.
*Use your mobile number, not your office number. This authentication also works with your VPN client. You may not be in the office when you need to validate.

4. Choose the Send me a code by text option.

5. Click NEXT
Enter the authentication code you receive by text message.
Click the VERIFY button.
Click the DONE button.
For security, you should choose the NO option.
Verify your information is correct.
Click your email address in the top right corner and choose the log-off/sign-out option.
Should you change phone numbers you will need to set up this authentication again.
* For best results set up the new number prior to ending service on the old number. 
This will allow you to receive the text at your original number to sign in and change the number on record.
